The most important reason to volunteer with the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank is simple: you'll be directly helping our neighbours in need. Every hour you dedicate helps us provide essential food hampers and support to children and families experiencing food insecurity in Wasaga Beach. Your kindness makes a tangible difference in their lives.
Ways you can help
We always need help, and there's a role for everyone! Our volunteers are crucial for operations. You could be packing food hampers, sorting donations, processing clients for intakes or acting as drivers for deliveries. We also need friendly greeters to welcome our clients. We have something for everyone's gifting and skill set, ensuring you'll find a role that fits you.
Commitment and skills
Whether you have a few hours or can commit regularly, your time is invaluable. We especially need help on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, or Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. No specific skills are required, just a willingness to help and a compassionate heart. We provide all necessary training to get you started.
