Help our neighbours in need
Volunteering with the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank means making a direct difference in your own community. Every hour you contribute helps us receive donations, prepare food assistance, support deliveries and ensure that individuals and families experiencing food insecurity are welcomed with dignity and respect.
Your time, care and commitment help make reliable food assistance possible for thousands of Wasaga Beach residents.

Ways you can help
There are many ways to contribute, and we work to match volunteers with roles that suit their interests, abilities and availability.
Volunteer opportunities may include packing food, receiving and sorting donations, welcoming clients, assisting with intake, making deliveries, supporting community events and helping with other day-to-day operations.
Training is provided, and some roles may require additional screening or qualifications. Whatever role you choose, your time and talents will help strengthen food assistance throughout Wasaga Beach.

Commitment and skills
Whether you can volunteer occasionally or commit to a regular shift, your time and contribution are greatly valued. We currently have the greatest need for volunteers during the following hours:
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Thursday evening: 6:00–8:30 p.m.
Many volunteer roles require no previous experience, and all necessary training is provided. Some positions, such as driving or client intake, may require additional qualifications, screening or role-specific training.
To learn more or request a volunteer application form, email our Volunteer Coordinator at vc@wasagabeachfoodbank.ca. We will work with you to find a role that suits your interests, abilities and availability.
