The Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors committed to responsible stewardship, strong community relationships and the long-term sustainability of the organization.

Our directors bring a range of experience, perspectives and connections to the Board. Together, they provide oversight, protect the food bank’s mission and help ensure that the organization remains accountable to the community it serves.

The Role of the Board

The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and stewardship of the Wasaga Beach Ministerial Food Bank. Its responsibilities include:

• Protecting the organization’s mission and charitable purpose
• Providing strategic direction
• Overseeing financial accountability and organizational risk
• Approving major organizational policies
• Supporting long-term sustainability
• Hiring, supporting and evaluating the Executive Director
• Ensuring accountability to clients, donors, partners and the wider community

The Board works in partnership with the Executive Director, staff and volunteers. The Board provides governance and oversight, while the Executive Director and operational team are responsible for managing the food bank’s day-to-day work.

Serving Our Community Together

Our directors volunteer their time because they believe in the importance of reliable and dignified food assistance for Wasaga Beach residents.

They are part of a much larger team that includes volunteers, staff, supporting churches, donors, businesses and community partners. Every part of that team plays an essential role in helping the food bank respond to immediate needs and strengthen food access throughout the community.
